Gear that needs care

Studio and band equipment is heavy, valuable and awkward: flight cases, rack units, mixing desks, amps, synths, drums and speaker cabinets. We load it upright where it should be upright, strap it so nothing shifts on long motorways, and keep it out of the weather.

We carry gear from Berlin, Hamburg, Amsterdam and other European music cities to studios, venues and homes in London, Manchester, Glasgow and beyond. Tell us how many cases, their sizes and weights, and whether anything must not be stacked.

Customs and carnets

Equipment that is moving permanently needs export and import declarations, with values and descriptions for each item. If gear is travelling for a tour and coming back, an ATA Carnet may suit you better, and we can work alongside one. Personal equipment of someone relocating may qualify for Transfer of Residence relief once HMRC approves it.

Collection and delivery

Studios are often in basements, courtyards or upper floors, so share access details and we will bring the right number of hands. We can deliver straight into a studio or rehearsal room rather than to the street.

What to send us for a quote

A list of cases and loose items with sizes and weights, photos of anything unusual, the collection and delivery addresses with access details, and your preferred dates. Tell us if any item is fragile, must stay upright or cannot be stacked. For permanent moves, include values for each item so customs paperwork is ready before collection.

Timing for sessions and gigs

If the gear is needed for a session, gig or studio opening, tell us the date when you ask for a quote. We plan backwards from that date, allowing for the crossing and customs, and we will say honestly if the timing is too tight. Building in a day or two of slack is always wise on international moves.

Items we are often asked about

Modular synth cases, outboard racks, mixing consoles, drum kits in cases, guitar and bass rigs, PA speakers and stands, and studio furniture. Consoles and racks are heavy and unbalanced, so tell us their weight. Remove patch cables and loose parts, bag and label them, and keep any original packaging for the most delicate pieces.
